Classification of non-woven fabrics

The fibers used in non-woven fabric production are mainly polypropylene (PP) and polyester (PET). In addition, there are nylon (PA), viscose fiber, acrylic fiber, ethylene fiber (HDPE), chlorinated fiber (PVC). According to the application requirements, non-woven fabrics are divided into two categories: disposable application type and durable type.
According to the production process is divided:
1. Spunlace non-woven fabric: Spunlace process is to spray high-pressure fine water flow onto one or more layers of fiber mesh, so that the fibers are entangled with each other, so that the fiber mesh can be reinforced and have a certain strength.
2. Heat-sealing non-woven fabric: Heat-bonding non-woven fabric refers to the addition of fibrous or powdery hot-melt bonding reinforcement materials in the fiber web, and then the fiber web is heated, melted, cooled and reinforced into cloth.
3. Pulp air-laid non-woven fabric: air-laid non-woven fabric can also be called dust-free paper, dry papermaking non-woven fabric. It uses air-laid technology to loosen the wood pulp fiberboard into a single fiber state, and then uses air-flow method to make the fibers agglomerate on the mesh curtain, and the fiber mesh is consolidated into cloth.
4. Wet-laid non-woven fabric: Wet-laid non-woven fabric is to loosen the fiber raw materials placed in the water medium into single fibers, and at the same time mix different fiber raw materials to make fiber suspension slurry, which is transported to the mesh forming mechanism, and the fibers are reticulated and consolidated into cloth in the wet state.
5. Spunbond non-woven fabric: Spunbond non-woven fabric is in the polymer has been extruded, stretched to form a continuous filament, filament laid into a web, web and then through their own bonding, thermal bonding, chemical bonding or mechanical reinforcement method, so that the fiber web into a non-woven fabric.
6. Meltblown non-woven fabric: The technological process of meltblown non-woven fabric: polymer feeding-melt extrusion-fiber formation-fiber cooling-web formation-reinforcement into cloth.
7. Needle-punched non-woven fabric: Needle-punched non-woven fabric is a kind of dry-process non-woven fabric. Needle-punched non-woven fabric uses the puncture effect of the needle to reinforce the fluffy fiber web into a cloth.
8. Stitch-bonded non-woven fabric: Stitch-bonded non-woven fabric is a kind of dry-process non-woven fabric. Stitch-bonding method uses warp-knitted coil structure to reinforce fiber web, yarn layer, non-woven material (such as plastic sheet, plastic thin metal foil, etc.) or their combination to make non-woven fabric.
9. Hydrophilic non-woven fabric: mainly used in the production of medical and sanitary materials to achieve a better feel and not to scratch the skin. Like sanitary napkins, sanitary pads is the use of hydrophilic non-woven hydrophilic function.
